Dr. Max Pisciotta

Dr. Max Pisciotta is a climate scientist and engineer who believes that real change starts in our communities—when neighbors come together to care for the places they call home. With experience in environmental education, public engagement, and clean technology, Max works to make climate solutions more accessible, equitable, and practical for everyday people. They’ve helped design cleaner ways to make steel and energy, worked with schools and nonprofits to create climate education materials, and collaborated with community groups and documentary filmmakers to ensure local voices are part of the conversation. Across all their work, Max focuses on breaking down complex topics into tools that help families, teachers, and young people take action. As a board member of EcoPaths of South Georgia, Max brings both technical insight and a deep commitment to grassroots impact. They’re especially passionate about empowering youth and supporting hands-on learning opportunities that connect sustainability to everyday life. Max is proud to support EcoPaths’ mission to build a cleaner, greener South Georgia—where everyone has the knowledge and power to protect their environment.
